MUKHTIYAR ALI is a folk performer, who hails from a Mirasi family of Pungal village of Bikaner, Rajasthan. He began his musical journey to rediscover SUFIANA QUALAM."
Mukhtiyarji commenced the show with a devotional folk song-"Padharo re Deva Ganpati Ganesha"which was very soothing. He was accompanied with his talented disciple on Dholak instrument, . Next performance was a Kabir song-"Jab mai tha tab Hari nahin"in folk style, which was a prolonged monotonous song. He presented a fabulous Sufi ghazal-"Tere naam se jee lun, tere naam se mur jaau",based on Darbari Kaanada Raag, which really enthralled the audience.
The last performance was-Baba Bulleh Shah's beautiful Sufiana Qualam-"Mukati naiyyo sau sau Pir" presented on popular demand, which he sang in an amazing emotional romantic style. He is blessed with an extremely high voice range and depth voice quality, which has the power to attract audience.
Overall It was nice, but for some songs , the sound of Harmonium was dominating the singer's voice.
