Day 1: Guru Utsava—Carnatic
The program was inaugurated on Day 1 by Vidushi Dr. T.S. Satyavathi. In a memorable address to the packed hall, she shared her wisdom with the audience, starting by explaining the very word “Guru” and dwelling upon the significance of Guru Poornima. She also lauded RFA for organizing this unique event to honour Gurus.
Day 2: Guru Utsava—Hindustani
Day 2 started with the address of the chief guest Pt. Vinayak Torvi, a foremost disciple of late Pandit Gururaj Deshpande and also Bharat Ratna, late Pandit Shri Bhimsen Joshi, and an artist whose name is synonymous with Indian Classical music at National and International level, In his address he highlighted the importance of Guru in ones life.
